I had already called two other companies to find support but received vague statements by front office personnel who did not seem motivated or enabled to make unequivocal decisions to support me. I called Gutter Ethics and had an immediate, competent answers and support.
I had received wind damage to my roof and asked for an assessment. Gutter Ethics was able to see that they had a team en route to another job and that I was on their path, and was able to have the team divert and support me without shorting the other customer.
The team, Joey and Dan arrived, performed a full assessment using live feeds back to the home office, so they could collaborate in real time.
Joey and Dan backbriefed me, completed immediate mitigation (a complete patch across the roof's caps) in anticipation of the incoming rain - their prompt, professional reaction made sure that I had a fix for my immediate, in-your-face-problem, as well as plan for a systemic, enduring fix. -

Gutter … More Ethics had two of their roof specialists carefully inspect my roof, and they provided a detailed inspection report verifying that my roof is in excellent condition with at least 15 years of life left. They confirmed that the minor, subtle "streaking" is normal for the age of the roof.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to this time because contractors and repair professionals are so terrible in this day and age, that when you find a quality establishment, I believe you need to promote them.
Justin, the owner … More of Gutter Ethics is an incredibly busy business owner that came across as someone who really cared about the quality of the work above all else. It was clear from the outset that these guys were absolutely slammed with projects and are probably the most experienced roof installation experts in the Northern Virginia area.
They came out and expertly inspected my roof on my newly purchased home, pointed out items that even our inspector missed, and took the time to understand my goal, which was to not have to worry about the roof for the next few years. So they did some repair work and preventative work. Their quote provided a detailed breakdown, they were not the cheapest, probably 10-15% more expensive than the competition, but I got what I paid for, dollar for dollar.
I am an Industrial Engineer turned attorney and am very detail oriented, so was pleasantly surprised to find a company that thought along the same lines, meticulously documented their work, and really spent the time to make sure each repair was done right.
I'm glad I found Justin when I did because my roof is too important a part of my house to mess around with low priced chop job type contractors. I just couldn't risk it and I'm so glad I didn't. Honestly, I'd recommend them to anyone. -

It is rare to find a company as responsive to customer needs as Gutter Ethics and their owner, Justin. They did gutter cleaning and in the process found hail damage to my gutters, roof tiles, and other metal on the roof. I filed a claim … More for hail damage with my insurance company, who sent an adjuster to inspect the roof. Gutter Ethics met with them on the inspection. When the adjuster claimed that I had damage to metal on the roof and not the roof tiles, the insurance company offered to replace the metal only. This would have resulted in a $65 payment after a $1000 deductible. I elevated my claim with the insurance company, arguing that hail did not damage the metal while leaving the roofing tiles untouched. Gutter ethics provided me the photographic evidence which I forwarded to the insurance company, and came to my house to meet with adjusters on two subsequent re-inspections. Gutter Ethics has gone out of their way in working with me to get this damage approved for insurance coverage.Every interaction with Gutter Ethics has been timely and candid, and they have been a pleasure to do business with.Services: Gutter cleaning, Roof repair

I initially called Gutter Ethics to have my gutters cleaned and inspect my roof, as I had suspicion of a leak. I knew at the time of purchasing my home the roof had some repairs done to it, but I was surprised by what Gutter Ethics found: … More missing/broken shingles, exposed nails, and what appeared to be makeshift repairs. I was given two options to address the problem areas: 1) the cost-effective, short-term solution, which was to patch the missing/broken shingles and caulk/seal the exposed nails and 2) the expensive long-term solution, to have the roof completely redone. At no point did I feel any pressure to decide on either option. I simply made my mind on what I wanted, called them and went for the option that best suited my needs. Justin provided me with all the information I needed in regards to my new roof, the title of shingles and warranties associated with them. I was also told about Gutter Ethics’ own 10-year roof replacement workmanship warranty and 10-year annual roof replacement inspection, which is free of charge and guarantees their work for the next decade. I am extremely happy with my decision to go with them, Gutter Ethics did an amazing job and there was little-to-no disruption to my daily life. I don’t think I ever met any of the crew in person, everything was handled over the phone; Justin is VERY responsive.Another thing, which was explained to me during our initial conversation… WEATHER. These guys operate on GOOD weather. If there’s a hint of rain or any inclement weather, chances are they will postpone the work. This could be problematic for some (I’m looking at you control freaks), but I didn’t have an issue with it. I was told I wasn’t required to be home, might of fact, they do suggest you do leave the house while they are up there as it can get noisy.
