Overview
After a wind event we get on the roof, not just under it, because the damage that costs you money is the damage you cannot see from a ladder or a drone photo.
Wind pressure lifts the shingle tab, breaks the factory seal, then drops it back down looking normal. That shingle is now a flap. The next storm takes it, or water tracks under it into the decking. We check the field, the rakes, the ridge, and every piece of flashing, and we photograph all of it on CompanyCam so you have proof before you ever call your carrier.

Wind gets under step flashing, counterflashing, and drip edge and works it loose. That is where the water goes first, long before the field of the roof gives up on you.
Claim documentation
Photos, video, slope notes, and dates go into one CompanyCam link. Your adjuster sees the same file we do, which shortens the argument considerably. The file stays stored indefinitely.

- Repair or replace, honestlyIf eight shingles are creased we replace eight shingles. If the seal strip let go across a whole slope, patching wastes your money, and we will say that instead of selling you the same repair twice.

Can wind damage a roof if no shingles blew off?
Yes, and that is the common case. Wind breaks the adhesive seal and creases the shingle mat without moving it anywhere. From the ground the roof looks untouched. Six months later you have a stain over the dining room and a claim that is harder to file because the storm date is old.
Will my insurance cover wind damage?
Often, yes. Wind is a covered peril on most Virginia homeowner policies. What decides the claim is documentation. We inspect for free, photograph everything, and hand you a file your adjuster can work from. We do not discount insurance claims restoration work, so the scope you get is the scope the money is for.
Someone offered to cover my deductible. Is that normal?
It is a crime. Paying or waiving a homeowner deductible on an insurance claim is fraud in Virginia, and it puts you on the hook, not just the contractor. The same goes for signing an assignment of benefits. That paper hands your claim rights to a company you met yesterday. Do not sign it.
How fast can you get out here?
We prioritize roofs that are actively letting water in. Our Springfield and Fredericksburg offices cover Northern Virginia and the Fredericksburg area, so a truck is usually not far. The inspection is free and there is no obligation to use us afterward.
What if only part of the roof is damaged?
Then we repair part of the roof. Matching an older shingle is never perfect, and we show you the difference before we start rather than after. If your shingle is discontinued or it is three tab, we talk about the whole slope, because a patch on a dying roof is money you spend twice.
