Traditional profiles
PVC can be routed and built up to match older casings and moldings, then painted to suit the house.

Cellular PVC trim installed for fascia, rake boards, corner boards, window casing and porch trim on Fredericksburg homes, milled and painted to suit older houses where the look matters. Served from our office on Westwood Office Park.
In Fredericksburg, trim has two jobs at once. On older homes downtown and in neighborhoods like College Heights, it carries the character of the house, with wide casings, deep cornices and porch details. On newer homes across the region, it simply needs to stop rotting where builder grade wood was used at the corners, sills and roof edges.
Cellular PVC can do both. It can be cut, routed and painted to match traditional profiles, and it does not absorb water, so the pieces that keep failing stop failing. We replace what is rotted, install the new boards to allow for movement, and finish them so the house looks the way it should.

Sills, porch trim and the bottoms of corner boards are the usual repeat offenders, and PVC ends the cycle.

Yes. It takes acrylic latex paint well. Darker colors need a paint made for vinyl or PVC, because dark trim gets hotter in the sun and moves more.
PVC does not rot or attract insects, so it lasts far longer than wood in the spots that stay wet. How long the paint lasts depends on the color and the exposure, and lighter colors last longest.
